If the batter hits a line drive to the pitchers foot, and the ball bounces up off of his toes. Is this still a fair ball and can the pitcher catch it for an out?

    This would be no different then if the ball had hit any other part of the pitcher's body. The ball never touched the ground so if it is caught it is an out.

    Similar to the question of when the first baseman is pulled off the bag and tags the base with his hand rather then his foot when the ball is in glove. It doesn't matter what part of the body touches the base the runner is still out.

    Yes is is still a fair ball and yes he can still catch it for an out. Nothing else really to say.

    yes it is and it is because the ball still has not hit the ground witch means it is still fair play so if the pitcher cought it there for it is a/an out
