Is it a good investment purchasing a Ferrari, knowing that it is so low to the ground, if it is intended for city driving? How does it handle itself over speed bumps and such?

Who told you it was "intended for city driving"?
Maybe just to get outta town! And until then just pay attention and take it easy.

YES! They pass you so fast in Italy you don't even notice them! You buy the engine and Ferrari throws the car in for free. :-) City car? Stay away from parking garages but if you're a car lover you should own a Ferrari at least once. BTW - Everyone in Italy "thinks" they drive a Ferrari :-) Actually a Ferrari is a sculpture! This video shows what happens to the supercars built so low. It gives some idea what would happen with speed bumps.

It is a good investment only in your happiness if you're a gear head like me. Yes it is low to the ground so you must be careful. You can approach steeper driveways and speedbumps at an angle to decrease grounding your ride. These exotics all have tight suspensions and have a bumpy ride. Financially these cars are a bad investment. The initial cash outlay means lost interest and lost opportunity earnings cost. High insurance costs even if insured as "recreational use" and costly maintenance, but you only live once and you never know when your time is up. Sadly as I get older (in my 40s) I do see how youth is wasted on the young! The Ferrari is fine as a daily driver but you will get hit hard with even mid level mileage on your depreciation. Don't wait till you're an old man before you get your Ferrari or other exotic supercar. We gearheads await your joining our club!
