There is a rubber hose from your AC That lets all the water drain to the outside. Sometimes they get clogged up, usually with mold. You gotta find that hose and clean it out, with wires brushes or what ever, maybe the hose has become unconnected from the ac, reconnect it. You might gotta replace the hose. If you don't solve the problem with the drainage it aint gonna matter how you solve the musty carpet. It will just happen again. To dry and get rid of the smell, some warm dry sunny day, get you as many fans as you can collect , park the car in the sun, open the doors, point the fans at the carpet,, and just let those fans run all day long and do it again tomorrow and the day after. On one of those days set a few bowls with vinegar in them on the floor board, on the next day set some bowls of ammonia down there. Once the carpet is dry and if you have a good vacuumn cleaner spread a bunch of baking soda on the dry carpet. Work that in with a stiff broom type brush and let it sit for a few hours. Then vacuumn it all out. Now fill up the tank, get you a blond to sit in the passenger seat, male or female as your predilections dictate, turn up the fan to max, AC off, roll down the windows, open the sun roof, and hit the highways to somewhere you always wanted to go. Drive as fast as you can. Violate the speed limits when you think it is safe and you are sure that is not me in my old van weaving from lane to lane in front of you. Enjoy the way the wind plays with your passengers hair. Pull into a motel, drive back home the same way you left. Tell your signifgant spouse that you were just trying to get rid of the smell so that the kids wouldn't throw up when you drove them to soccer practice. See how far that gets you. And let me know if it works. I know all kinds of ways to clog up that hose.
