    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

In most states, a car must have two license plates: one at the front and one at the rear of the vehicle. However, in West Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, North Carolina, New Mexico, Mississippi, Michigan, Louisiana, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Delaware, Arkansas, Arizona and Alabama, only one rear license plate is required.
