    As of the census of 2000, there were 7,610 people, 2,836 households, and 2,056 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,688.6/km sq (4,377.1/mi sq). There were 2,939 housing units at an average density of 652.2/km sq (1,690.4/mi sq). The racial makeup of the village was 94.07% White, 0.84% African American, 0.01% Native American, 3.52% Asian, 0.42% from Race (United States Census)other races, and 1.13% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.37% of the population.

    There were 2,836 households out of which 40.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.2% were Marriagemarried couples living together, 8.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.5% were non-families. 24.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 3.21.

    In the village the population was spread out with 30.3% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 31.5% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.9 males.

    The median income for a household in the village was $94,795, and the median income for a family was $109,532. Males had a median income of $75,639 versus $54,398 for females. The per capita income for the village was $41,859. About 0.7% of families and 0.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 0.2% of those under age 18 and none of those age 65 or over.
