Girls would you ever 'settle' you for someone that you didn't love completely because the person you loved didn't want you?

    Always thought you can justify virtually everything by saying "it seemed like a good idea at the time".....but this isn't a good basis for a long term relationship.
    On the other hand, and in the short term, in the words of Neil Young "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with"

    I'm not one to settle. Being alone doesn't scare me that much. If I cared for him and he cared for me, why put the word love as a label for how we feel. If we were both happy with the relationship, then it wouldn't matter.
    Now, if he was using me in an attempt to not feel alone/get over the one who wouldn't love him back and let me in on that fact (or if I kept getting that vibe from him), then I wouldn't deal with the relationship. That's not fair to me. The same thing could be said for the other way around. That wouldn't be fair to him.

    Never. If you were with one person and loved another that would be totally unfair to the person you are with. Why would anyone do that to another person. Both of you would be very unhappy in the long run.
