    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Linseed oil is a good finishing oil to use after staining wood. While boiled linseed oil dries in about one day, pure linseed oil takes up to three days to dry, but provides a superior protective finish. Linseed oil cannot be used for outdoor woods.
