Legally, no. But I'm sure you're dad could lie and get him into some trouble. No law is broken unless intercourse has taken place. And in some states you only have to be 16 (not sure what state you're in.)

Be very careful, and think about the relationship. Other than that... if you're really attached to each other stay friends you'll be legal in a year and your dad can't do anything.

yes he can you are underage and thats a problem i'm 28 but i still know how it is being 17 yall have to keep it very quite till you are of age then its your choice and he cant say anything but your man if is a cop should know the rules its not about sex its about age just keep it on the low you go bowling to your dad but you can see him there oh what he just showed up no crime just give it some time you'll be ok just wait or be very sneeky i say wait

Be discreet untill you'r leagal and in some states thats 18, then get your own place and go to the next level.

If your under age and living at home then listen to your father, it sounds like your father has an opinion and you need to listen untill your leagle.

if he´s birthday comes before yours (meaning that he is not more than 5 years older than you are) in most states there is nothing illegal. But your dad can be a big pain in the ass. Especially when your BF works for the goverment.
I´d re-evaluate if you are sure that you want to push this trough..
