    Some people who start businesses with little or no money offer a service rather than a product, since services can require only your time and skills, whereas products often require capital. If your business idea requires capital, you can always launch a temporary business to earn you the capital you need to start your ultimate business.

    Some simple businesses that you can run from home without specialized skills and without buying equipment or supplies include dog walking, errand running, yard clean-up, etc..

    You can even complete administrative, internet technical tasks using a computer at your local library, where computer use is often free of charge.

    Partnering:

    Another option is to partner with a friend or acquaintance: in exchange for start-up capital, your partner will receive a share of your profits. When starting out, you want to make the partner's share significant so that potential partners want to get involved.

    Advertising:

    If you don't have money to invest in advertising, you'll need to network with people you know in your local community to help you spread the word about your business. One way to advertise your business is to let prospects test your service for free. Let your skills and generosity do the selling for you.
