How do you deal with a boss who yells? Any tips?

    I was in the Marines and getting yelled at by my boss was a part of the job. There was a saying; "If you're NOT getting yelled at then you're doing something WRONG." If you are doing something WRONG that causes you to get yelled at then ask for suugestions to improve your work. I would suggest "picking your battles". If he/she is yelling at you for no reason you need to confront them in private. Remember to be respectful in your tone and verbage, most importantly remember to start with "All due respect...", that way they can't say you were being beligerent. Another supervisor or manager as a witness wouldn't hurt either. Always remember "C.Y.A." (Cover Your Ass). I hope this helps.

    Tell him flat out that you will not be treated that way, then report it to his boss or human resources.

    my boss gives me stupid lectures all the time. i just nod my head and count floor tiles. they are just insecure about their ability to manage you. just ignore their ridiculousness
