Because selling tapes with empty promises is more profitable in a shorter time frame. These "hucksters" could sell ice to eskimos before they could ever get rich selling houses that they supposedly get for free. In fact if you look at most business opportunities in the newspaper and in the back of magazines, you will find that its full of ads that make you wonder that same question- "Why sell me the secret for $100 when you could just as easily make millions without telling anyone?" Why would you create compeition for yourself? "Oh, I just like helping people" is the response that you would get from most of these people peddling this crap. But then it makes me ask even more probing questions like- "Do you contribute to charities? When was the last time you paid someone's rent? Can I have $1000 in cash since you like helping people?"

While it's true that there are worthless people in the Real Estate information/education arena, to assume they're all "hucksters" would be a shame. I researched for years before finding the "good ones" who really could teach me how to buy and sell real estate correctly and legally. I did have to sift through a lot of junk, and a lot of people just want your money. Hey, it's America, right? Some of the so-called "guru's" no longer actively invest in real estate, and find that their information makes them more money. The ones you want to use are the people who actively invest, and I'd recommend individuals who do live seminars, not just tapes. The live seminars are where you find out anything you need to know, and they have to know what they're talking about to survive here. A tip: Training is usually worth what it costs. ($14.95 isn't going to make you a millionaire) I've done several deals in the last couple of years, and have had no surprises after getting good training first. I've known what was coming before it happened, because I learned how to do it first. It was expensive, but worth it.

Alot of the "INVESTORS" on TV are millionaries from selling the program, not properties We work with investors locally that are makin $$ One in particular made 300K this year in profit just buyin low, fixing and reselling So, it does work, I have 3 houses going now and the only money I spent was on the earnest money Of course the longer you have them the more expenses you incur. House payments and all, most FHA lenders wont allow you to resell it b4 the 90 day mark. So figure that you have that long to rehab it and 2-3 house payments...

I've actually used one of them. Iv'e been investing for about a year now and they really do work. The key is that you have to work. Most often people buy these programs thinking that it's going to be a miracle program. When then they find they actually have to work they quit. It's been proven about 92% of the people who purchase these programs don't follow trhough. I bought the Progressive Profits set about a year ago and so far I've made about 125K. The system does work the people don't. PS and NO I don't work for any ot them. I just put the system to work like they tought me.
