The first dollar coin featured the face and flowing hair of Lady Liberty in 1794. During the 1970s, President Dwight D. Eisenhower profile graced the dollar coin. From 1979 to 1981, Susan B. Anthony was featured on the redesigned dollar coin, which was often mistaken for a quarter.
