If you were trying to describe a human being as a car (so you could refer to them in a conversation) what would go where in the metaphor?

A phrase such as dang you've got a fast car what's under the hood? might be used as the same situation as to trying to figure out how someone thinks or however you might see a person that is like a "fast car"

    She has a great engine but she's stuck in first gear. (For the underperformer in your life)

    He has a nice paint job but he's not firing on all cylinders. (For the good looking guy with a spotty performance record.)

    minute i was back in neutral tried and

    oh and her gears being in
    A 1 shape passed
    from low through
    second-in-to-high like
    greasedlightning)just as we turned the corner of Divinity
    avenue i touched the accelerator and give
    her the juice,good (it

    happy to see how nice she acted right up to
    the last minute coming back down by the Public
    Gardens i slammed on
