Most of the cartoons you miss are now on "Boomerang". CN has just evolved with the changing times. Not always to our tastes but to keep up with the newer markets. They still need to make a buck to survive.

Adult Swim is just plain weird anymore but that too will change. I still have hope for both.

Honestly Cartoon Network was never really that great. I remember the first time I heard about it. I was watching Loony Toons on TNT and heard an ad for the cartoon network (it was still by subscription at that point). It still sounded like the coolest thing in the world to me. Shortly after that Cartoon Network became part of the regular cable channels. I loved watching Loony Toons, The Flintstones, and Just wait Till Your Father Gets home (although I realize now Just wait Till Your father gets home was actually very prejudice; you know how it is when your a kid a lot of stuff is over your head). But I hated when it got to later evening and shows like Hanna Barbara's Banana Splits came on, Josie and the Pussycats, and there was this other dumb one my little sister liked it was about people racing it was from the '70's all I remember was I hated it and that there was a female character named Penelope. I never was into Dexter, or the Powder Puff Girls. I liked adult Swim when they showed futurama, the oblongs and mission hill. I don't have cable now I realized it's all the same old shows over and over again for money. I survive fine with just the internet.

All the good shows are GONE! But there's Boomerang , which has some old shows. Phew, thanks god. And now I'm lovestruck because you mentioned Samurai Jack.
