Yes, its known that they have an amazing friendship away from the show.

I also heard they are really great friends off the show. and sometimes they talk about things on the show about each other that show they spend time off set. like once Clinton was making reference to this "what not to wear guest"'s shirt as something his cousin wears. and Stacy was like "I know, and i met you cousin ___, and thats not a good look!" and they both start laughing.

and there was also one person who said they didnt want to look like a baker and stacy said something about clintons pear crunch pie.

in their book, on his website, and on what not to wear behind the seams, they do seem like they have a great friendship. and c'mon, a friendship and a bond like that does seem hard to fake.
