My house has tested positive for white mold. Black mold is toxic, should I be worried about the white mold?

all mold causes problems, the black mold just happends to be the worst. But all mold will cause respiratory problems to some degree if left untreated in the home. I suggest using a bleach/water mix the spray on any mold you can see. then check in your attic and/or basement. If you believe it's inside the wall cavities of your home then you may need to call in the pros.

Find out where the water problem is coming from. Get rid of all the drywall, wallpaper and other Mold Food Sources. Mold is mold and it should be removed responsibly. Molds come in millions of colors. Who tested the home? A home inspector or mold inspector?

I'm a mold attorney. Out of all of the molds in the world, there are only 3 or 4 that have been proven to have a significant impact on the residents health. Many things need to be considered: is the mold contained; what is the source of the water intrusion that caused the mold; is the mold contained largely in wall cavities. I wouldn't bother with a home inspector. You need an industrial hygienist who will come out and test the species and levels of mold at various locations. Depending on the age of the home, you may have a claim against the builder, subs, etc. You should consult an attorney and stay out of the mold rooms when possible.
