    Done. never again.

I have tried, although I don't recommend it, is putting on more nailpolish, and wiping it off while it's still wet. The old nail polish will come off eventually.

You can't unless you peel it off which will result in peeling off layers of your natural nail ultimately damaging your nail plate.
Trust me you're going to do more damage peeling or chipping off your polish then you will by using polish remover.

Scrape it off with your fingernail. It's always worked for me.

From what I could find, the only way to remove nail polish is to use the main, active ingredient in nail polish remover, which is acetone:

Acetone is a flammable solvent used primarily to clean-up positive photoresist. Acetone is commonly sold as a 100% solution and has a density of 0.79Kg/L. Skin contact and breathing acetone vapor should be avoided; it is used as a cleaning fluid used to remove uncured plastic resin from brushes and clothing

You can use rubbing alcohol. It well take certain types of polish off. You just need to soak your nails in it for a few minutes first.
