The amount of heat in a thai curry is flexible. It is possible to have a green or red curry that is more or less hot, or even not hot at all. Thai curries are very complex dishes having dozens of ingredients and every Thai woman makes her own version of each.

I have always found the red curry to be hotter ,, but I love either .yum yum !

They can be made equally as hot as they get their heat from often the same source. It's more on the cook and how hot they make it. If you are making it, you can tone down the heat if you wish. If you are looking for a milder curry, I'd say that Massaman is usually less hot than others.

you want to see some hot curry? The show Man Vs. Food he ate some that was so hot the guy cooking it had to wear a gas mask. You might be able to look it up online.

Both could be mild... but green curry lends itself to being made spicy. . When I make red curry I would usually add pumpkin or something along those lines (long eggplant, sliced bamboo etc.) . When I make green curry I add plenty of sliced chilly peppers and basil etc. . I make curry dozens of different ways... my current favorite is a red curry with chopped dried shrimp, it is a more tropical variation. . No matter who you are... how much money you have... thai curries is one of life's great pleasures.
