I think I know my darkness fairly well. It arises when people try to push me into doing something or accepting an idea or when they try to take control of a situation or group. When I am not in my darkness, i can really build people up individually and make them feel good. Conversely, when my darkness rises up, I can be very hurtful and scornful, albeit almost always to people who are trying to control or dominate me and others. There may be good reasons for my anger, but I wish I could constructively stop people from taking unfair advantage and control instead of fighting back with sharp words to cut them down.

I Know I have a dark. I don't know its depth yet. Neither do I care. Knowing I am responsible for all the things I do. Is scary enough. I don't need to live in anymore fear. I leave myself upto God who is the light of that is. And I believe I will be safe there. However, I am not in denial. Yes I do have a very dark side. Good or Bad I do. So does everyone else. I am neither superior nor inferior to others, when it comes to this.

    Oooh "the darkness within"... please.
There is nothing mystical or mysterious about "our darkness".

There's some sort of subconscious thought process happening that leads people to think that within all of us, lurks a beast which only shows itself when certain criteria are met, and our sense of moral outrage magically transforms us into a rampaging juggernaut of self righteous fury and woe be to anyone that gets in our way. At least that's what we delude ourselves into thinking. From an outside perspective, it looks much different.

I present to you, your inner darkness!

The real truth of our darkness, is that it's whiny and embarrassing.

i know it pretty well, and it comes out when i'm afraid. i wouldn't call it darkness though, that's kind of passing judgment on it.
