    Over and Out

I was married at 22, my husband was 22 also.

That was ideal for us. We were able to independently support ourselves and were mature enough to handle the commitment.

We've been married almost 40 years .. so it worked out well.

People should marry before they have sex. Society needs to be realistic about human sexuality which means couples ought to have a realistic way to marry and have their own affordable place to live by 18-19. Universities should be able to accommodate married couples, and I'd think it would be much easier to fit part time college coursework than a full time job around an unplanned child.

Until society accommodates self-supporting young adults, a year out of college seems reasonable, so 23-24.

Of course the most important thing is to marry the right person. I'll be 32 by the time I'm finally married, but if it had been up to me, I'd have been married much younger.
