my 10 yr old son is a typical preteen, i just discovered that he likes to watch gay porn and nude pics of men. is he gay?

    Eesh... I'd say it's too soon to tell. Is gay porn the only porn available to him?

    Anyway you slice it, it might be good for you to talk to a professional and then to him. He's 10 and looking at porn. Even if you can't afford a sit down session there's free resources.

    At his age he may only be curious. I started having a sexual attraction to men around that age too.

    I'd talk with him. If you're the accepting parent, let him know it's natural for him to be curious and you will support him if he is gay. If not think about the suicide rate of gay teens. We lose 4 teens every month because they feel alienated and hated. I would just love him for who he is, regardless.

    He's TEN years old. He's a youngin'.
    He doesn't need to have the l a b e l talk. He doesn't need to have the sex talk. ( though I personally believe those "talks" shouldn't take place.. sex should be looked upon as something natural and not taboo and an open part (conversation wise) of their lives... ONCE they hit a certain maturity. But anyway. The whole point is... yes, he is curious... he could be gay.. but don't be so quick to label. What does it matter really? You don't need to talk specifics with him. Just let him know that he's your son and you'll always love him no matter if he's gay, straight, purple, or shaped like a mailbox.. (not that you already don't)

    He may just be curious?
    When I was younger, I would watch all types of porn..including lesbian porn, but I'm far from a lesbian..or a sex fiend! (lol)
    It was just a way for me to teach myself about things because my parents never ever talked to me about lesbians, homosexuals and sex. I learnt everything by watching things, reading things and teaching myself.
    Have a talk with him about these things but talk to him in a way that shows you are open with the idea of homosexuality, so if he is gay, he will feel comfortable to tell you.
