I know there is a lady who is credited with pretty much writing the book on how Indian dishes should taste and be made, I'm pretty sure she was an actress before becoming an authority on Indian food. I just need to know her name, does anyone know who this woman may be? I think she has also been credited with popularizing Indian food in the west. I do know she was born in India, or maybe England, and moved to America to pursue acting.

Lower Sodium Foods. Newly on a low sodium diet, I searched through a chicken cookbook and found many "exotic" recipes with ingredients I do not know. Can you help? What is Tamari Sauce, used as an alternate to soy sauce? Low?
