The Brain is a marvelous survival device. Its designed for helping us survive succesfully in the old times. Our culture is only a layer superimposed over that surviving machine. What I want to say, is that the Brain was not designed as an objective analisys machine but as "lier" machine that will not choose the correct answer, but only that helping us to survive. Today, due to education and culture we are using that wonderfull, but with an old design machine, for porpouses it wasn't designed for. It doesnt work analizyng the world, but only interpreting it in a certain way. Our sences work in the same way, and together with the brain, lead us to achieve an incorrect understanding of the world. That's why methodologies are needed, such as logics and scientific method for achieving a more accurate understanding about the sorrounding world. Thats why some theories look ilogic or out of comon sence, becouse our brain is not designed for understanding the Universe, but only to help us stay alive.

Actually I think you're misconstruing what the brain is for. It's very possible that the brain isn't in charge of consciousness, but how we project and refine it.

Plus, the neurons are constantly misfiring.

We can't even tell if the picture is of a beautiful girl or an old hag. I mean, right there proves we are incredibly inferior. What about the frog or the horse? Which line looks bigger? They're both the SAME size. We can't comprehend that. Failures. Complete and utter failures. No wonder nothing works like it's supposed to.

Some cells are very brilliant...some are moderately bright...some are doofuses. Cells come in all colors/flavors/types just like people do. Some you trust, some you don't! It's a crapshoot after all and sometimes you luck out and sometimes you don't! :)

We are products of our environments. We are only what we experience. We can trick our eyes (the silly gorilla experiment) Sound can be reproduced etc. Brain washing and mind control are being used every day by media TV,books, music, You as a person must draw the line and stop letting yourself be distracted and soon you will see that our brains are just cells.
