Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Is it not obvious that the chicken came first? As the egg was always there?

Who thought of fertilizing it?
Was it the egg? Looking for a Cock?
Or did She never understand?

    logically the egg came first...it had to have been a genetic mutation from something that wasn't quite a chicken...

    To answer the question, you have to ask more precisely. Is it s chickens egg (a) because it was laid by a chicken or (b) because a chicken hatched out of it? Once you have clarified your question, the answer is obvious. Because chickens evolved from non-chickens; it is your choicec whether you regard the first "true chicken" as the egg or the chicken.

    The Bible is Clear, Everything came on the earth bearing the seeds of reproduction, Animals, Plants and Adam and Eve. The Animals came as adult animals, then layed eggs or reproduced live young, as with Tigers, Lions etc.

    Eggs had been around many millions of years before there were birds in any form. We still have egg-laying species which don't produce birds as their young.
