I'm black, and I believe this is true. Many black people are self-conscious, including myself. Black people are all about family, and what their family approve of. Personally, I love white men, and my family doesn't give a care lol, but TONS of black families do care. They don't accept it.

People are only as loyal as their options. If you don't attract attractive members of another race. Then you concentrate on whom you can attract.

At one point i thought that black women did not want to date outside their race. I was in an interracial relationship at one point and when we would go out Black men would stare and go as far as making a comment about us. I was comfortable and held my head up high but I think that it might have bothered my Boyfriend at the time a great deal. If you are in an intterracial relationship you have to have tough skin because you may have some people that are totally against it and others that don't mind and you have to be prepared at all times.

No no that is not the case with every black lady.
I prefer white guys and I'm black.
Im afraid to date someone inside my race, because i might get hurt.
Every girl has a preference in men.
So im that other percent of black girls who date outside of the race.

    But to answer your question.
Some may feel comfortable because they know their own race
Dating someone outside of their race..well it feels intimidating and awkward.
I dont know if white parents will accept me..its hard ..

I would guess it's 'sour grapes'. They aren't succesfull with white men so they don't want them.

I also think it's cultural. Women who try to be accepted by men will adopt manly tendencies. Think girl gamers, car tuners, etc. Look at their personalities and how they handle themselves in social situations. The black culture is (from my perspective) much more masculinity / dominance driven then the rest of society. Black women who try to emulate this mold their preferences to what they percieve as being acceptable in their culture. This would obviously turn them off from any skittish white man.

Of course black men aren't affected by this because for the most part they aren't emulating. They don't have to mold their preferences as much, and as such will date outside of their race.
