How do I burn mpeg files onto a DVD-R, so that it will play on a standard DVD player?

    It depends on what you mean by a "standard" DVD player. If you mean a stand-alone home-use DVD player that's intended to be connected to a TV, you may be out of luck. Most don't recognize or play the mpeg format (though there may be some newer models that do). That means you'll need to convert the mpegs to a format your DVD can recognize.

    If you mean a DVD player in a computer, I believes it's largely a matter of having software for it that recognizes the mpeg format.
