Nope. I'm pretty sure any court in the land will find that YOU were "at fault" by driving while suspended. Just be glad your not in jail.

Alabama state law needs minimum Liability of Bodily Injury limits of about $25,000 for every injured person to a total of about $50,000 each accident, Property Damage Liability insurance coverage with minimum limit of amount $25,000. This coverage is referred as 25/50/25 coverage.

Chances are that driving with a suspended license carries with it a significant amount of fault if you are in an accident.

After all if you were abiding by the law, the accident would have never happened because you wouldn't have been driving.

Expect your insurance to pay some of it.
I sure hope you have insurance.

Many people think there should be (or think there already is) a principle in the law that says, "If you are on the road when you have no right to be, then you are responsible for anything bad that happens." However, there is currently no such principle in the law.

If she was insured and at fault, then her insurance should cover it, just the same as if you had a valid license. Some people may not think this is fair, but that is how the law works presently.
