Not Bullsh*t, but it is the craze of the decade...remember when Diet soda would cause cancer, then it was milk, etc?

Antioxidants are substances or nutrients in our foods which can prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. When our body cells use oxygen, they naturally produce free radicals (by-products) which can cause damage. Antioxidants act as "free radical scavengers" and hence prevent and repair damage done by these free radicals. Health problems such as heart disease, macular degeneration, diabetes, cancer etc are all contributed by oxidative damage

Considering that 30% of women and 50% of men will get cancer, and that free radicals are known to cause cancer, I would say the anti-oxidants craze is real. So if you take steps to reduce your risks, you'll be on the good side of those numbers above.

No not exactly BS, but like most things in America, it's way overboard.
Antioxidents are not only good for you, they are essential to health.

No it is not a craze. Most Americans don't get NEARLY ENOUGH antioxidants. Getting enough antioxidants helps to prevent much illness in the body. Antioxidants are not a fad diet, they are a real part of food like proteins, and carbs. Certain vitamins, like vitamins A, C and E are considered antioxidants.

If people taking antioxidants do it excessively, it is bullsh*t. For those taking it in moderation, it is a good health supplement. Overall, it is only bullsh*t if people taking antioxidants excessively think the excess will have any benefits.

It's not a craze, but some products are making folks crazy.
Monavie is a pyramid company and gets a LOT of hype from people that sell it.
It's not a cure-all but we should have healthy amounts of it in our diet.
