The Dr Pepper Company merged with The Seven-Up Company in 1986 and the combined institution was known as Dr Pepper/Seven-Up Companies, Inc. In 1995, London-based Cadbury Schweppes acquired Dr Pepper/Seven-Up Companies, Inc. The names has been shortened to Dr Pepper/Seven Up.

Completely correct. The name of the company is "Dr Pepper/ Seven-Up" and it is wholly owned by Cadbury Shweppes.
