During the 1990's almost all cars were fitted with computer engine management systems, your Honda among them. An EMP would disable it completely. I had a friend with a BMW that always stopped at a certain place. It took ages for him to find out that it was because of overhead power lines at that spot coupled with the Beemer being a South African model with no shielding around the Jesus Box.
