  • If you can stand the taste! If you are asking if it "goes bad", the only thing I could find is the following: "Brewed coffee will deteriorate, though not all at the same rate. If you take a commercial coffee like maxwell house or folgers and let it get cold, it will be nasty. It will turn bitter. If you take specialty coffee and let it get cold, it is still pretty good tasting. Even specialty coffee will fade and get unpleasant if left in the open air long enough. Coffee oxidizes. It gives off aroma (flavor leaves the liquid coffee). It absorbs ambient aromas (leave coffee next to a counter-top compost bin and in time, your coffee will pick up some interesting new organic esthers). It won't hurt you, but coffee is best fresh brewed - there is just so much more going on in a fresh cup. And at 10 cents for an 8 oz. cup, why be cheap?" at : http://www.coffeeforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=5893 Hope this helps...
  • Even water, drank in excess, leads to water intoxication. And water will eventually stagnate over a period of time.
  • 1 day yes, but 3 or 4 days left at room temperature and the coffee will start to grow stuff on it. Won't kill you though. It will probably just give you a tummy ache.
  • I don't like the taste of coffee, so I add about 2 fluid oz. (or more) of French Vanilla non-dairy creamer to it. Being that I only drink one or two cups a day, if that, I end up leaving half a cup here or there, sometimes not finding it until most of the day has passed. If I don't see anything floating on top of it, I drink it, never had any problems. And if any flies did fall into my coffee, and I didn't see them, just a little more protein in my diet. To answer your question, if you use real dairy, you might want to think about it first. On the other hand, if you don't use a dairy creamer, you shouldn't have any problems. Of course, that also depends on whether or not you're fussy eater. If you're all right with the taste, fine, if not, try warming it up, and a small pinch of salt removes the bitterness.
  • Yeah, but why you would want to I don't know. Maybe I would watch out for milk curdles if you take coffee with milk in it (or cream curdles for added cream).
  • Yes, it is okay to drink. It won't kill you that is for sure. Heating it up in the microwave could be useful though.
  • If you heat it up and think it still tastes OK, go ahead. Coffee doesn't spoil, though it may float a mold, and that takes a few days.
  • I drink coffee the next morrning from the morrning before. I am cheap and don't want it to go to waste. As long as the coffee has not been on a burner all day and has that burnt taste its all good.
  • food left out starts to spoil - we cant see it with the naked eye. there are temps to keep food out in and i doubt your home or office maintains the proper temp to keep that coffee bacteria free! I wouldnt try it! I love my digestive system and wouldnt subject it to that!
  • To put the issue at rest, the answer to the question is you CAN drink it if it has been sitting all day. But it will turn bitter after a while. The sediment will settle and turn more acidic, especially if it's made strong to begin with.
