I had a boyfriend that did, he was a little crazy, lol. Not because of believing in this, though. I can't say that I do, but I am open to the idea. My thinking leans towards a conscious universe. We come from the universe, the universe created planets and suns and stars and us. Since we are part of the universe, who's to say the universe is not conscious? It KNOWS itself, because we are discovering. We came from it and are aware of that and try to learn more.
Well, there's my thought. Not TOO familiar with the unified unconscious mind but wouldn't mind hearing more
Methink unconscious minds are unified in a state of unconsciousness.
I think I believe it at an intuitive level, but not rationally.
Same way, as a kid, I believed that I could walk thru a wall if only I could stop believing the wall was there.
Could you please explain the differance in the unified or ununified unconcious mind.
I believe in a conciousness that transcends the senses that is beyond our control as we recognize control.
If some one told me that he/she had a program that melded the two forms I would walk away and never look back or I would be so facinated that I would never leave his side. Hope thats not to confusing. LOL
I am not certain what it is, so I'd reserve my judgement later when everything clears up about it. I'll have to dig deeper in my subconscious mind tonight. hehe
What is that Charlie? Something in our DNA that predates our being here, all the way back to the beginning of life? That is a very big thing to believe, isn't it? Do you believe it? If true, how would we know? If not true, how would we know? Happy Thursday Charlie! :) ((hugs))
No I don't. It's just another hypothesis. You can come up with countless such theories but the probability of them being proved right is very very low
what's that? some new religion?
dissipated = unconscious (e.g. human world)
united = conscious (God?)
If life is unfair to everyone, doesn't that mean life is fair to everyone.

Makes sense, since we are part of the universe, the universe is conscious to some degree.
Not very much though, since we ourselves are unconscious 1/3 of the time. And that's while we're still alive.

LoL, I like that! Speaking of consciousness, my ultimate way to die would be to go through a black hole. That would be AWESOME.

i think it would take an infinite amount of time too, from your point of view

See, it makes me wonder. I wonder if it would be fast for ME, but slow for everyone outside of the black hole. I need to freshen up on my black holes, lol.
I always liked that story about the kid on a ship that is travelling years and years to its destination. It takes so long that the first person's great grandkid will not even be alive to get there, maybe THEIR grandkid will. Anyways, this kid is working with his dad and takes a pod out without permission to view a black hole and test a theory. The ship is calling and calling to have him back but the kid ignores them. He then gets caught in the gravitational pull of the black hole for a few minutes, but manages to escape with a huge burst of energy from the engines. He finally breaks free, but when he returns to the position of the ship, no one is there. He calls and calls, but no one responds to his transmission. Only then does he realize that during those few minutes, thousands of years had passed and the ship was never going to be there again.
I don't remember the name of that story, it is short and more detailed than my quick version, but I absolutely love it! Maybe it's not so REALISTIC, lol, but I can live with that. But with the story, those in the grip of the black hole are still existing at a normal rate of time for themselves. But for the outsiders. time has slowed down for those in the grip. Maybe getting caught in a black hole is a way for outsiders to make someone live longer for them (yet not considering that the person their trying to make live longer will not survive for very long in reality).
Who knows? I'm just a dining room table theorist here, lol, I don't sit in my armchair for the laptop, it hinders my typing. Happy Saturday, it's chilly out!
