    No.
    It's not a big deal and good luck finding a new job after suing your last employer.

    No one wants to hire a complainer who's going to sue the company over something minor.

    For what? If he thought at the time what he was saying was correct, it's not libel.

    Get on with your job or find a new one.

    I do hope he also apologized in front of other employees. If not, you can contact Human Resources for resolution.

    I once had an employer that would accuse employees of many things they did not do. I never tried to sue over it.

    I think you should look for another job right away. Your employer is much like mine was. He is an individual of very little quality.

    There is no need for you to sue. If that is the way he is, it will catch up with him eventually. I am a big believer in Karma.

    You would trade your job for the lawsuit, winning or losing. I'd pursue a heartfelt apology off the clock perhaps even at an event. Assuming he can offer you that, I would then let it be.

    I'm sure it was embarrassing, but it's not worth suing over. If we got money for embarrassment, a bunch of us would be rich. He ought to apologize in front of everyone, though, to clear your name. It's the very least he could do.

    You could probably sue...but I'm not sure of the fall out from that;
