Want To Sleep With A Miner

    Asker's Pick

Selected by the asker, kessian. (What's this?)

I'd take a minimum wage job at some college food court and seduce all the coeds.

I think you would have to find some way of keeping you brain occupied but with that amount of money in the bank you could find ways of keeping occupied without holding on to a job that someone else could do and appreciate.

Sure, your new job is watching the money. You don't just sit $59MM in a checking account, you spread that mess out. Got to track your portfolios, get updates on what your stocks are doing , regularly check interest rates on CD's, money market accounts etc, calculate how much you're spending vs. how much interest/dividends are coming in each month (don't want to be going backwards). That would pretty much be a full time job itself. The difference is you could mostly do it in your underwear with a martini in hand.

I'd probably be buying up properties and fixing them up. It would'nt be work. I'd hire other people to do the work. I'd also be buying lots of underwear. Fresh underwear for the rest of my life. Never wear the same underwear twice.......

No, I would look for part time volunteer work. Hire a personal trainer and a cook to cook healthy meals.

I'd work but I'd do something that was more important to me than what I'm currently paid to do.

When you're only working for money, and getting no fulfillment from it, then it's an empty experience. Working at something that has meaning to you beyond money, has value.

bagicide stayed 10 months too long

My purpose for life is not to amass enough money to be able to entertain myself for the rest of my life. If I had the talents to earn 59.3 million, I'd be very likely to set a goal for myself of being able to contribute 100 million to cancer research or AIDS research and keep going to achieve that goal. Or perhaps I would set a goal to wipe out Malaria in one African country, or wipe out illiteracy in one African country.

Having the kind of skills to make that kind of money and quitting to entertain myself would be like mental masturbation. Its fun, but what the heck good does it do? I'd be on my knees asking God what particular goal He wanted me to accomplish, but I sure wouldn't be sitting on a yacht somewhere.

Yes because to whom much is given, much is required.
It would be a different kind of work however.
Somehow making a well thought out positive change in as many lives as possible with resources that are available. Investing part of those resources insuring the ability to keep those changes happening.

It wouldn't be in the bank because the banks are changing for the worse not better and will find a way to fuck me out of it as usual. Mine just got taken over by rabobank here in california b/c to many people couldn't pay there mortgage so the FDIC without warning put it up for sale and these big citys boys bought it over night within 12 hours it went to a different company.

With 59.3 million you could just invest half in CDs(certificates of deposit) and make money, the richer get richer.

59.3 million it does sound nice but it does not seem real. You leave the care of social services and somebody tells you what you have. You sit looking at statements and accounts but there is nobody there to actually tell you what to do with it all. Your most expensive purchase so far is a mobile phone but you have nobody to ring. Your brother is still in care but you do not know how to get him out and he is due as much as you. Nobody remembers your parents and those that have vague memories of them did not even know they had children. Social services when you ask them say they had no idea. What happened 13 years ago when you ended up in care with all this money just sitting there. No relatives, rich as shit and you still end up in care. Did some body miss something or did the system just take over.

    Yes and no ...

I own and operate two small businesses from my home. I would close my software company and dump the unfinished source code for my current project into freeware ... but I would continue to teach martial arts ... however, my students would have to practice on their own for half of each month because I would be taking a two week vacation EVERY month.

... of course I would get it all out of the stupid bank and buy tax liens at 36% per year interest ...
... good luck finding a bank account that pays interest like that ...

I wouldn't work a regular job. I would volunteer for charities and do errands/chores for friends and family, as well as people that needed help.
