replaced clutch and master slave, ford ranger 2001 4cylinder continues to stop whe press pedal and shift gears at stop signs.

    It is causing the engine to shut off when you depress the clutch? If that is the case, it might be that your thrust bearing on your crankshaft is worn out and when you depress the clutch, it will push the crankshaft forward and cause it to stop rotating if there is no bearing material left. I have only seen this on large diesel engines where the driver rides the clutch but I have heard about it in little engines. If this is not the case, please be a little more specific. Is the tranny grinding when you try to shift like you are not getting full clutch disengagement? That could be due to low clutch lining and means you need a new clutch. You would have slipping issues though if that was the case.
