Which online brokerages are the cheapest on a per-trade basis?

    There are as many different fee scales as there are brokers. Some brokers that charge flat fees andd are considered lower or reasonable per trade are Ameritrade, Etrade, Scott trade. I would again suggest "googling" online brokers and doing comparisons.

    Freetrade is pretty damn good. Their web site is: http://www.freetrade.com They are a Ameritrade ran company so its not just a no name broker. They require you to start an account with atleast $5,000 and by default it is margined since thats how they claim to make money. You get first 20 trades for free every month and next few 100 trades are for $3/each.... check out their site to get the details on pricing.
