Call Dish Network at 800-333-3473 to activate the external hard drive feature of your receiver ($39 activation fee; supported models only in August 2010). Expand your DVR's recording capacity with this feature. However, it is not possible to copy your Dish DVR recordings for playback on a personal computer. Each time the hard drive is connected to a new device, you are prompted to reformat the drive, which results in a complete loss of data.
Transfer your DVR recordings to a PocketDISH device for mobile viewing. With the Dish ViP922 SlingLoaded DVR, you can use Dish Remote Access to watch the content of your DVR remotely on your PC or other compatible mobile device. For more information about the PocketDISH and ViP922, contact Dish Network at 800-333-3474.

Why is the picture on my lcd tv sort of fuzzy and blurry? I do have Dish Network and a dvd/vcr combo unit connected to it, but unless it's hooked up wrong, I wouldn't think that would make a difference in the picture quality.
