Help answer this question below.
Clean your dryer vent using a straightened wire hanger or a good stiff brush. Specialty tools, such as rotary vent cleaners or lint trap brushes, are available. These brushes come with extensions, but if your venting duct is not extremely long, there is no need for the extra expenditure.
Unplug your dryer. If it is a gas dryer, ensure the gas is turned off. Pull it away from the wall far enough to get behind it, but take care not to separate your vent duct. Use a screwdriver to disconnect the duct from the dryer. Remove any lint in the connector on the dryer. Use your wire hanger to remove any lint that has collected in the vent duct. Once you are satisfied that there is no more lint, reconnect the duct to the dryer.
Replace the dryer, but do not plug it back in yet. Go to the exterior dryer vent, and remove the cap. Again use your wire hanger to pull out any lint you could not reach from the interior of the house. Once the lint is removed and the vent cap replaced, plug your dryer back in and turn on the gas if necessary.
