    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

    Encrypt Outlook Email

Open the message that you would like to encrypt. In the "Messages" tab from the "Options" group select the "Encrypt Message Contents and Attachments" button, which looks like an envelope with a lock. Finish the message that you are encrypting, and click "Send." Only someone who has the correct "Private Key" can read the message. Anyone without the "Private Key" can only see the encrypted text, which is unreadable. Since you can not password protect an outgoing email in the traditional sense, encryption is the best security method to secure your message.
