Is anyone else following the devastating fires in Russia? Are you surprised this story is getting little U.S. coverage?

Fires forest & peat in Russia appear to be getting worse. Several countries are withdrawing diplomats due to possible radiation dangers. Russia (worlds 4th largest wheat supplier) has closed the trading of wheat.

Foxx News is so busy blasting Obama they don't know Russia is still a country, let alone one on fire. National Public Radio (NPR) has had two eighteen minute segments on the fire, and hourly updates from their correspondent in Moscow.

You're not tuned in to the right media. The coverage is there.

Sadly no. I haven't been following it. Instead, I've been following all the shenanigans of the jews trying to block the whitewash inquiry into the Flotilla massacre and, as a side source of amusement, I'm enjoying their squawking over the travel advisory the US issued about Eilat. Truly fun stuff to watch.

I wonder if Sarah Palin can see the smoke from her backyard.

No I haven't been following the situation but I'm not surprised the US media isn't covering it...Just like the Nigerian riots in China. If you want a window on world events you've got to watch the BBC or other foreign news service .

America will now make a killing on its huge surplus grain mountain. Russia has not closed trading, just exporting. One can follow on satellite or online RT Russia Today, it tells more of the story than CNN or the BBC.
