What happened to the moles on Obi-wan's forehead between Revenge of the Sith and New Hope?

during his exile in his hut on the desert planet tattooinne, the ghost of quay gon taught obi wan to use the force to remove those moles so that there wouldnt be any chance of them developing into a mellanoma. because, as you know, it was very important for obi wan to be around to teach young luke the ways of the force!
