Help answer this question below.

My Mercury Grand Marquis will vibrate occassionly while traveling down the road at 60 mph, i e It feels like you are running over a washboard for just about a second. Then it will happen again maybe 10 min later. Any ideas?

    Without knowing what part of the car exactly is vibrating, I'd guess one of the following:
    Road condition?
    Tire(s) out of balance and/or bent rim?
    A/C compressor kicking on and off?
    Power steering pump?
    A belt?(alternator, compressor, timing...)
    Dying squirrel in engine compartment.

    If all else fails, try removing the washboards from the roads.
