It sounds more like a tornado watch - They have no idea where or if it will touch down in a 50 mile radius - Just be prepared

I don't think they can pinpoint exactly where it will touch down. They can tell where the weather conditions are ripe for tornados.

Looks like a legitimate warning to me - get in your cellar or basement, or if you don't have one, get into a room in the center of your house. The NWS is pretty accurate, but why take chances even if you don't think they are?

I know this was a few days ago but...

Watch - Atmosphere is capable of producing a tornado.

Warning - Tornado has been either reported by someone or a signature has been spotted on a radar; gate to gate shear or a hook echo (google 'em)

The good news is NWS issues tornado warnings for entire counties so if you are under a warning the chances of getting hit are slim. With that said, HIDE!!!

I would'nt want to take a chance that I did'nt do anything and they were right. Since I have a 3 year old then it's a no brainer for me. It's time to go to the cellar and make a fort.
