    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

If you pick yellow squash yourself or buy it from a local farm, the shelf life is about two weeks. If you buy it at the grocery store, you should plan to use yellow squash within one week since you do not know how long ago it was picked. Yellow squash should be stored in your refrigerator uncut, preferably in a produce bag.
