    Biggie Smalls was no stranger to beefs himself. To start, Beef is defined as: to have a grudge or start one with another person.

    If someone has a beef with me, they may do something to harm or even kill me.

    Mobsters, mafia, thugs are often scared that their cars are rigged with explosives designed to detonate upon turning the ignition key, placed there by people with whom they have a beef.

    So as a precaution, you may have someone start your car for you, before you get in. But not your best friend of course. Your enemy, if at all possible.
