    Probably due to its age - thousands of years BC - and because it was the seat of an ancient civilization and empire.

    Because the Tower of Babel was supposed to be there.

    Why would God feel threatened by One Folks building a tall tower?

    Ostensibly- archaelogical evidence should indicate that post flood, there should be one language.

    Yet there is no evidence for such.
