    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

The Nomination jewelry company claims credit for inventing the Italian charm bracelet in 1987. Paolo Gensini of Sesto Fiorentino, near Florence, Italy, designed the bracelet, also called a composable bracelet, using flat, modular charms that link together, according to the company.
