You know Phillis I am just keeping it real, some hate the police, keep on walking cause like the military we are there when a person needs us! Love ya Phillis...
by Eileen on October 5th, 2009
Yeah, but the ones who hate the police usually were just stupid enough to get caught, so who do they blame? I mean, come on! If you aren't smart enough to live a successful life of crime, perhaps you should consider another vocation. Any idiot should be able to see that. Blaming someone else for your own problems is beyond retarded. You would probably appreciate my answer.
by Phillis - Zacks little sister on October 6th, 2009
Ya know Phillis I do appreciate your answer. I know you know all to well about folks, stupidity of their actions and their inability to "stand up and be accountable". The criminal will place blame on all others just to justify the wrong they have done. The "good" folks, by this I mean the law abiding people are the reason I did what I did in my profession, "protect and serve". Stupid just gets old after awhile, criminals are stupid, their actions are distructful and in time will always get caught. Hey Phillis have a fantastic, hmmmm I think it is Tuesday, yes? None the less have a great day Darlin :O)

Yep I do Serri....Then you completely understand the motto "Faithful til Death". The badge maybe retired now, my memories are many, I still cry long and hard when we lose one of our own. We never lose site of what the task at hand is, we do the job for people who love and hate us. We see things simply as wrong or right, no gray areas(we leave that for the lawyers to bend and twist). We sure as hell don't do it for the glory, we do our job to protect the law abiding person. And ok, for the free donuts. LOL God Bless Sherri

"Peace officer" is a great way to put it. I salute you and your efforts, and believe that you are now back on the beat, good luck with everything - you do make the world a better place and you do make a difference. You deserve the respect you command.

I'll agree with that, good on you Eileen, you're a credit to the force, and may you always get those free donuts :)

I think your message is fabulous. The most important thing is life is to feel safe, and to feel that your family are safe. I applaud in fact love what the police do day to day. To be honest I dont think I'd have the guts or mental strength to do what they do.
The key here is that the people that hate the police are the loud minority. Overwhelmingly there is a very silent majority that hugely appreciate police and what they do.
From your cousins in the UK...well done Eileen!
by Steve_C5207 on February 26th, 2011
Steve there is good and bad in all, even within our law enforcement agency...however the majority as you stated are there for the people that are law abiding and will do all things to protect them. It really doesn't take strength or guts to do the job we do on the streets, what it takes is knowing wrong from right, standing up and saying NO to law breakers that cause the crap. Oh yea and legally carrying a Glock 37 on your hip helps in those times of complete choas. Wishing you a fantastic day.....from across the pond :)

You are a hero in my eyes! I love cops and what they stand for! They are just doing their job when they give you a ticket for speeding, talking on your cell phone, driving without a license, or any other stupid excuse you come up with when breaking the law!
by TheLeosDen on March 22nd, 2011
Ans some of them excuses are absolutely hilarious....thank you

I think what you did was great and thank you for your service. The work you do or did has changed a lot in the past few years and now days it is more like you are a soldier keeping the peace. I understand about our society and what is happening to people, why they are in gangs and why they are murdering each other. Crime is prevalent because of mans inhumanity to man. That means we have ceased to value one another. Hollywood can shoulder the blame for much of the violence and so can the video game industry. The rest is our fault as parents and grandparents to a generation that has grown up and is growing up without concern for one another or anyone else but themselves. I am glad you enjoy what you do, you have to because it is a very negative job as a whole. Please take advantage of your departments health care policy provisions which allow you to visit a counselor on a regular basis. These things you see have a tendency to build up and taint your ability to enjoy your job after a while. Sound counseling and someone to talk to once in a while allows you to balance your ideas and emotions. Also, exercise is very important to a man and his psyche. Have an outlet. Once again thanks for your service to others. =)

The few idiots in the Police force discredit the force and bring on the good officers the shame and the distrust that we see in the forces.

And yet Philip when put to the test....Good vs Evil, the good come out on top by a mile! :-)

Okay, I am a Marine Corps veteran from a small town. When I came home I started a family and two years later my oldest daughter (one at the time), my (now ex) wife, and I were rear ended so badly that our Oldsmobile Aurora was totaled. I was pissed, yes I said some things that I shouldn't have at a person who was acting like an idiot and just about killed my daughter in the process... oh, and who happened to go to church with the officer who cited ME with a ticket. It was overturned in court because the judge wasn't an ignorant fool even though the same officer never took any pictures nor did he retrieve the video footage of the accident from the bank across the street. I did that because he couldn't or wouldn't do his job. Unfortunately, even though I won my case, my insurance company lost theirs because the evidence that I found was ruled inadmissible because I wasn't a cop.
About a year ago, my kids almost ran out into the street and I had to sprint off the porch to catch them. I picked them up and ran back to the yard. I told them we were going inside and they weren't too happy about that so they began crying. Right then a police car who was driving by stopped and questioned about why my girls were crying. They actually accused me of being physically abusive! I don't even spank my kids, let alone hit them. The only thing they get from me in a physical sense is lots of hugs and kisses. The fact that these cops had that kind of nerve.
When I was in the Marine Corps we used to have to hide from police because they would go out of their way to harass us like it was some sort of power trip.
I could do this all day. I have no criminal record, I'm a law abiding citizen and a combat veteran. My life is full of honor and pride and I am proud to say that I am a patriot and defender of this nation. Despite all of this, I FUCKING HATE COPS! They have given me every reason to and I have given them none. I have met some very good cops, it's not all of them, just don't expect me to show a cop any kind of respect just because they wear a badge. Respect is earned and dammit I earned mine! Last cop that told me to call him sir, I told him to call me Corporal.
