    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

    Cutting Trim Around Kitchen Cabinets

Nail strips of particle board along the top edge of the cabinets with finishing nails. They are also used to nail the wood trim. Use strips that are about 1 to 1-1/2-inches wide. Mitre the corners of the trim at a 45-degree angle. Use an electric mitre saw where it is easy to set the angle. Nail the trim to the particle board. Fill in the nail holes and the seams between the pieces with wood filler.
