In North Carolina, whitetail deer hunting season is categorized by weapon type. For 2010, hunting with bow and arrow is allowed September 11th through October 8th. Muzzle loading firearm season is October 9th through January 1st (2011), and gun season is October 16th through January 1st (2011).
